Description
This original painting (diptych) by Jamaican artist Richard Hugh Blackford provides a peek into Jamaicans ethnic origins. Th island's population is comprised of approximately 93 percent African. The painting is bathed in yellow illustrating the constant sunlight that characterizes our origin as well as our island experience. This is intersected by the Oceans and seas that had to be crossed in our removal from the Motherland. This conversation piece is comprised by two 24'x 18" panels. It is an acrylic on canvas work is unframed.
